Everyone in the band is 1000% committed. We need to pick dates, get the EP tracks mixed and mastered, get the press kit together, and start booking. Tattoo opportunities will abound.

Vencil Mares's legendary barbecue establishment, down by the tracks. We're saving this one for our 2010 trip, as we were already loaded heavy after stopping at Snow's and Louie Mueller's. Vencil Mares is apparently 87 years old, so we're not sure if he'll be around when we stop in later this year. Louie Mueller, of the famous joint two blocks away, recently passed away....but the tradition smokes on...

Deep South was 2009's megatrip, a nearly two-week road odyssey through SC, GA, AL, MS, LA, and even DC and MD. The purpose was, as it always is, to shoot photos while gathering stories and knowledge. We always strike gold, and we never use GPS.
