I went up a fire escape to take this shot and stopped on a platform about four feet by four feet, when a door hit me from behind. A mother and her young daughter were coming out of a tiny apartment on the second floor. When the mother saw me standing outside her living room on the fire escape, she said, "oh, excuse me," and led her daughter down the steep metal stairs.
