Today on the Acela "high speed train"

First, there have been at least half a dozen construction delays. Second, my Gmail account was hacked while using the painfully slow onboard wifi, sending viagra and online gaming ads to hundreds of people I hoped never to speak to again.

Now, the train has sat at New Rochelle for a HALF HOUR because, in the words of the conductor, the train operations office "forgot about us."

This is the third time I've taken the train to NY this year, and the third time it's been late. At the time of each trip, there has been only one track open between New Rochelle and New York.

We are now on pace to arrive over an hour late. I've already missed one of the meetings I was trying to attend.

The $126 price tag on this one way trip does not warrant such consistently shitty service or wifi service inferior to that provided by the Lucky Star Chinatown bus, which costs $15 on the same route.
